How does it work?
Book with card authorisation
Book online for the dates you need and only pay for your actual hire dates, not the time your gear spends in transit. Pay securely when you book. Your card is saved with Stripe for the damage authorisation shown, but that amount is not charged upfront.
Pickup or delivery
Collect and return in Nelson, or choose nationwide courier delivery (excluding the Chatham Islands). Allow at least three working days so your gear arrives before your hire starts.
Easy return
Repack courier orders securely in their original packaging with the prepaid return ticket, then hand them to the courier on the final day of your hire.
Plan around holidays
You can still book over public holidays, but stores are closed and delivery may take longer. If timing is tight, talk to us. Cancellations may incur a fee. See our Terms.

The EVO5 is the smallest avalanche transceiver ever designed by the ARVA brand. At only 11 cm in height and 7 cm in width, it is one of the most compact detectors on the market. Its size and lightweight 170 g make it easy to forget you're carrying it, without compromising performance in an emergency situation.

Our R&D team pushed the size/performance ratio past the edge of the envelope to create a device that fits perfectly in your jacket pocket. With a 50m search strip width, group check, marking function, and an automatic revert-to-transmit mode, the EVO5 is jam packed with all of the essential functions needed to rescue an avalanche victim.
Equipped with a backlit screen and a speaker that emits a precise, modulated beep, this transceiver will efficiently and effectively guide you to the burial zone.
The EVO5 holster is designed for you to more efficiently and effectively use your avalanche transceiver. The EVO5 keeper cord is equipped with a carabiner that allows the user to easily clip their device to the holster. This holster allows users to choose between wearing the shoulder strap on the right or left. The waist strap detaches from the holster and can be used as a belt.
